17th Austin African American Book Festival June 26, 2023
The African American Book Festival is an annual event hosted at the Carver Library and Museum in Austin, Texas. This year, Outreach Productions collaborated with the festival to offer a special youth story time and puppet show.
This year, Outreach Productions had our annual Juneteenth gathering at the Carver Library. We were privileged to have Miss Austin address the youth on the topic of community volunteering. Our festivities featured engaging storytelling, an entertaining puppet show, and an informative presentation on the history of Black Austin Freedom Communities.
We were delighted to partner with The Pease Park Conservancy on a Juneteenth celebration. The event was an enchanting night of jubilation, screenings, and commemoration of Juneteenth, as we honored the rich and inspiring history of Austin's Black Freedom Communities.
