Outreach Productions offers a wide variety of youth programming in the Austin area. Our mission centers on harnessing the power of the arts to foster reading and writing skills development in children aged 3 to 14. At Outreach Productions, our primary objective is to create impactful educational programming that amplifies the voices and talents of often-underrepresented artists, including Black people, people of color (POC), and women artists.
Hispanic Heritage Month
Join Outreach Productions as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and check out some of our favorite books above!
Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15th to October 15th, is a time to honor and recognize the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to our society. This month-long celebration serves as a reminder of the invaluable impact Hispanics have had on every facet of American life, from arts and literature to science, business, politics, and beyond.
It is a moment to acknowledge the diversity within the Hispanic community, encompassing people from various countries, backgrounds, and traditions, all of which have shaped the colorful tapestry of American culture.
This annual observance invites us to embrace and learn from the heritage of our Hispanic neighbors, fostering unity, inclusivity, and respect in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world. It underscores the importance of recognizing the past while embracing the future, where the contributions of Hispanic Americans continue to shape and enrich our nation.

2023 Upcoming Projects!
All Aboard Youth is the K-12 component of the Freedom Communities project. Austin Black Freedom Communities is a feature-length documentary about communities built by formerly enslaved African Americans during the reconstruction era. These communities were constructed with little resources from the ground up and included churches, schools, and stores. They were self-sufficient and built vital infrastructures. The All Aboard project will invite youth and adolescents to respond to the film and web-series in their artistic expression of choice. This could include storytelling, writing, poetry, visual art, and dance.
