Outreach Productions offers a wide variety of youth programming in the Austin area. We believe in using the arts to encourage reading and writing development in children 3-14 years old. Outreach Productions goal is to provide meaningful community art showcases and stories as a means to increase exposure and representation to underrepresented artists including Black, POC and women artists.

2023 Upcoming Projects!
All Aboard Youth is the K-12 component of the Freedom Communities project. Austin Black Freedom Communities is a feature-length documentary about communities built by formerly enslaved African Americans during the reconstruction era. These communities were constructed with little resources from the ground up and included churches, schools, and stores. They were self-sufficient and built vital infrastructures. The All Aboard project will invite youth and adolescents to respond to the film and web-series in their artistic expression of choice. This could include storytelling, writing, poetry, visual art, and dance.

Story time with Storyteller Joanie StewartOne of our best storytellers, Ms. Joanie Stewart, will end our Summer Reading Program with a lesson that falls under Folktales. She will discuss folktales and fairytales as well as explain their origins and their long history of helping us break the boundaries of time and culture. Afterward, Joanie will tell us some stories. After Joanie presents the story "Too Much Talk", we will end with a fairy craft. Make a craft and have fun!
We are excited to introduce two very special children's programs running this Summer and Fall. Click to learn more about our Reading Club and Juneteenth show.
